Great Web Design

Thinkgeek.com is an amazing online store for nerdy stuff. I just noticed that their holiday design scheme has an amazing hidden design.
Go to the page, and look at the presents located on the wallpaper. Stare at them, and slowly scroll down the the bottom of the page.
LOVE it when people make clever design choices.

Remember when the Westboro Baptist church said they were gonna protest at an All Time Low show? Well they did.
here’s a clip to a video of the local news coverage. Its worth watching because the people are clearly absolutely insane. I’m talking brad pit in 12 monkeys insane. Especially that one guy who randomly throws out “I bet they voted for obama!”.

Underoath Bus Crash.

Yesterday, the van which contains all of Underoaths gear was in an accident. The driver has some slight injuries, and no band members were hurt. Their Show tonight in Omaha has been cancelled because of this. Read the official blog here.
This brings the musician bus crash count up to 3. First being Miley Cyrus’ tour bus (which she wasnt even on), but unfortunately claimed the life of one person. And second being Weezer’s crash, which has left Rivers in the hospital with a puncture lung, and spleen damage. Thankfully, Rivers has already made great recovery effort.
Watch out for those icy roads people!

Rob Dobi Is An Amazing Designer

Artist and Designer Rob Dobi has been making me laugh, making me look cool, and making me see things I haven’t seen before for the past few years.
I still laugh every time I see Your Scene Sucks. The fact that it has been periodically updated over the years has made it into a yearbook. While I do know plenty of people who seem to be close to one character, I know one person who has been at LEAST not one, not two, but FIVE of the characters on the site in the 5-6 years that I’ve known him.
Design is simplicity with meaning, and Rob Dobi captures it beautifully. If I wasn’t so set on designing the art work for the upcoming RN album, I might inquire to see if he was available to do it.
